My god, this is terrible. I'll be honest, this is depressingly similar to what I experienced growing up. I really can't stress how much it fucks with you. I'm the same age as Dante Jr, and have been processing things lately. It effects pretty much all of my behaviors on some level and I realize new ways the abuse fucks with me, more or less daily.

For me, seeing my mom and siblings being abused was even worse than experiencing the abuse myself. It seems like Dante Jr is really trying to look out for his family as well. I'm sure it's a struggle.

The twisted irony, guess who my dad's favorite player was. I doubt he knew about Dante Sr's dv incidents, but it's depressingly fitting.

The good news is I'm doing much better. I've recently been much more open about everything that's happened, am in therapy, and have begun to have much healthier relationships. My family is doing much better as well. I'm wishing the same for Dante Jr, Marianna, and Bo.
