Should time move faster?

Time should not move faster. Why? Let's see.

1) With the current two expansions per week, if one week is fifty years, it takes a single player based on Great Britain 600 years to expand into all of Ireland. If one week is a hundred years, it will take a player 1200 years to expand into all of Ireland.

2) With the current conflict system, it will take someone approximately 6 weeks to completely annex 9 territories held by an enemy nation. This means that if Fallen's dynasty wanted to conquer the southern half of Korea, if one week is fifty years it would need a 300-year-long war to do so. If one week is a hundred years, it will be forced to wage wars for 600 years. And Korea's not even that big.

3) Let's say a union between two large nations (let's say Ahkama and Somalia) lasts for twenty weeks. With our current time, this unrealistic empire will have lasted for 500 years. If one week is fifty years, this empire will have lasted for 1000 years. Please, show me just one huge empire consisting of two different ethnic groups that lasted for a thousand years without shrinking that much. If one week is a hundred years, this empire will have existed for 2000 years.

4) The Berber exploration /u/Pinko_Eric did some time ago lasted for two weeks or so, since he RPed together with both me, Nortonia, and Niger in the course of the exploration. This made some sense - you can imagine very determined explorers wandering around for fifty years, especially if they started out at a young age. If one week is fifty years, the exploration will have lasted a century. You can't be exploring when you're 130 years old. If one week is a century, a single exploration will have lasted two centuries, enough to see several dynastic changes.

From a realism viewpoint, this is not the best idea, and I don't really see what we gain from this.
