Small vent post attending a vitamin B12 seminar at work...

Reminds of how certain people who don't understand the Krebs cycle and oxidative stress get anxious about Vitamin C deficiencies and carnivore diets... Unless you're eating carbs, you don't need additional antioxidants like vitamin C because you're not subject to as much oxidative stress when you avoid carbs and don't produce much ROS / reactive oxygen species. You get enough vitamin C from meat for all of your antioxidant needs unless you're also eating carbs. That's why we carnivores don't get scurvy even years and decades into it.

We don't need to supplement vitamin C, or eat fruit... we don't need a global task force to solve vitamin B12 deficiency either, just get people to eat more meat and less other bullshit. It's mind-boggling that money is spent on that.
