[Review] Rants, Raves, & New Purchases Sep 15, 2019

I just used CeraVe's hydrating cleanser for the first time tonight. and I've used 4 or 5 other cleansers in the past including proactive, a neutrogena cleanser, a bar soap (I'm so sorry) and a charcoal cleanser and possibly another I don't remember. and this is the first cleanser that's ever made my skin feel different while cleansing and immediately after! I have incredibly dry, sensitive skin, and every other thing I've used has made my skin feel really tight and dry after I wash it and I honestly just thought that was normal. but this felt like I was washing my face in moisturizer or olive oil, which sounds bad, but it's the only thing I can compare it to, and despite the way it sounds it felt really good, and after I dried it off my skin didn't feel tight at all.

the consistency is nice. I really like how it's not foamy and it also doesn't have beads in it. it didn't feel like it stripped my face. and I've had a really bad acne breakouts the past couple days and of course you can only get so much out of a first impression, but my acne didn't look irritated or red at all after cleansing, which always happens. I'm sitting here after applying the rest of my routine about 15 minutes ago and in a little while I'm gonna go check to make sure my skin isn't falling off or anything but I have a feeling it's not gonna have any kind of negative reaction to this, which is also something that happens often with new products. another thing I have to say about it is I'm really impressed with how much product you're getting for your money. it was like 11 bucks for a phat bottle and I can safely say I haven't come across any product that big for that little.

I'll give it a safe two weeks before I fully form an opinion but the first impression is 10/10 :)
