Here's something ya don't find every day! Four Peaks wilderness, Arizona. I found them separately inches away from one another, and I was overjoyed to find that they fit together! Quartz crystal stained with hematite, I believe.

Oh, did ya? I thought I explained that in the research I've done, I found that the location at which I found this piece is BLM land, and every article I've read very clearly states that removing such a piece from BLM land is PERMITTED. In fact, according to my reading, a private collector is LEGALLY ALLOWED to collect up to 25 lbs of rock per day and up to 250 lbs per year as long as it is not done for the purpose of selling the pieces, and I'm not making money on what i have found. Can you please do me a favor and link me to a page that supports your claim that the area I visit in Four Peaks is a federally protected area, and that rock hunting there is strictly illegal? That would be really informative, as I have never found anything like that. Believe me, I've tried.
