Spotted at the local restaurant

I work in a tourist town which is a huge benefit. Most of my guests are people on vacation or local retirees. That being said, the tip percentages that I earn as an individual are very high compared to the other servers at my restaurant. I’m in a restaurant with high-ish prices serving guests who are ready to spend AND I do a great job which means I’m able to earn a lot. I’ve worked hard over many years to get where I am and it’s not just chance that I consistently average high percentages.

My favorite job I ever had was at a dive bar in a town of 1000 people in rural Montana. Hardly anyone even came in and no one had any money but I still earned over 30% every single day. It’s not just circumstances, I get good tips in every establishment and state that I’ve worked in.
