Posting about this again because it makes me really fucking mad.

I'm the minority here, but i'm always genuinely mad about how some minor villans are treated by the fanbase. Let's take my favorite Jojo character, Steely Dan, as an example as he by far has it the worst.

Steely dan is treated as the worst, most disgusting, horrible character in all of Jojo, when in actuality he hardly did anything. The way the fanbase portrays him would make you think he kills puppies for fun. But no, in fact, he hardly did anything.

It's Jotaro. In so many of these cases, it's Jotaro. Jotaro is put on a pedestal by the majority of the Jojo fanbase, the dudebros treat him like a perfect amazing character and if you touch him you're a bad person. Steely Dan was slightly mean to Jotaro. That's it. Didn't do any major damage, didn't hurt his friends, was just a little mean. And because of this he's treated like the anti-christ by dudebros. Thus jokes made about him getting beat up are super common. And I don't fucking get it!

Especially because those same fans will turn around and praise Funny Valentine, Yoshikage Kira and Strohiem as "such amazing characters" that they love so much, when in actuality said characters are well-known to be fucking disgusting. Imagine fans of characters like Jotaro having to literally be scared to look into their favorite characters tumblr tag, because they well know 90% of it is hate. That's what I have to deal with, and as an autistic person who's biggest comfort character in all of Jojo is Steely Dan, it sucks.

Anyways, if you take anything from this post, please just take a step back before posting shit in (unproblematic) characters that you dislike's tags. There are people who like them.
