People who were outwardly vocal about HK protests but are against protests in the US, where did you draw the line? Where is the difference, in your mind?

That is a pretty stark difference. I didn't voice anything about the protests then or now, but you are talking about a major change of government, and just a bit of localized unrest the media sensationalized.

People in those cities in the USA with the most unrest didn't have academics and professionals and families seeking to flee to another country. People in those cities in the USA didn't think that they had to scrub their public information to sanitize it.

Where is the difference, in your mind?

In my mind? What is the difference between a new national government taking over one's previous mostly independent government and some people voicing outrage in the streets in the USA?
