Yeah I figured. Your smug sense of superiority, self-loathing, quickness to rage and inability to engage with reason were dead giveaways. You're better than other American scum like me because you're not entitled like we are. You know all the timezones of Europe by heart. You know what espresso is. You say "mate".

Judging by the amount of vitriol you are spewing forth into the world, you've been caught under the spell of an ideology that will prevent you from ever being happy while you hold it, because it doesn't mesh with reality. I've been there, and it's natural, to try to find meaning in these ideas. Just know it doesn't have to be this way. There are better ideas.
