String brand questions and opinions on the Buddha Whipple Ceramic bearing

r/Throwers String brand questions and opinions on the Buddha Whipple Ceramic bearing u/Triskey4h I apologize if this has been posted before. I am wondering people's opinions on the best string. I ordered some kitty fats, but I'm really not looking forward to having to tie the loop and having to measure it and size it. I also ordered some Buddha Poly which for some reason I am looking forward to it a lot more than the Kitty (maybe because of the sizing/having to tie the loop).

So I am looking for a soft, long lasting string, that won't burn my fingers up after a couple hours of using it and hopefully last at least a couple days while retaining good tension. Also I'm looking for a brand that I can get 50-100 strings for under $10-$20. I want to mention that I live in an EXTREMELY humid climate and yoyoing outside becomes very difficult very quickly due to the hot sticky humidity. I also ordered a Buddha Whipple ceramic bearing in hopes that it will play better and last a lot longer in this ridiculous climate, the humidity is seriously insane, makes for the worst/hottest summers and worst/coldest winters.

If anyone has experience with the Buddha ceramic I would really appreciate your input and opinion on it.

Thanks also for any help about choosing the best string for my humid climate and overall (I know it is subjective but any helpful input would be appreciated).

ruthmarsh • 1h Cant go wrong with either the whipple or the ripple! I have actually had both of mine for about 8 months 45-50 min a day and still running great!

Wow that sounds great. But how is the smoothness/softness and tension on those? How would you compare it to other brand-name strings, other than how long it lasts you? ADD COMMENT Status 401 returned from API request to https://oauth.reddit.com/api/comment
