Almost the same exact situation with me. He never left a life of travel and adventure it’s now his career so at 40 he’s still off in high conflict countries a few months a year while I’m at home being normal. He’s resentful of it. I grew up and just wait a normal suburban life. I hope to find a “normal” guy someday. Not sure if this is the case with your partner but I feel like mine has some issues he’s running away from and never dealt with so he never left the phase the rest of us did when we grew up. People who are damaged like that look for damaged people too and those of us who are too healthy, and want stability are said to be “too Normal”
