Why do studios STILL force 21:9 content into 16:9 aspect with black bars for Netflix & Youtube trailers?

You know how I know you're wrong.

Youtube doesn't follow these parameters either.

Youtube does not hardcode any video uploaded to their site to any 16:9 or 4:3 standard.

Longstory short, if the content was uploaded to youtube at 2.35:1, it stays 2.35:1, and the are no blackbars.

Netflix could do exactly the same, and not a single person on earth with a 16:9 smart television/Phone/PC display would know the difference.

They don't have to alter their algorithem, or compression standards, or any of that nor worry about "device compatibility." They dont have to overhaul their infrastructure, or Workflows.

That's a buncha bullshit.

For someone who "works in the industry" you sure do like talking out your ass.
