Supernatural genre vs Superhero genre

I definitely think they totally can coexist too. I’d say we have such an over abundance of this supernatural archetype, and that’s maybe what’s causing people to ween off of vamp, werewolf, and witch movies. Like in the last 20 years, how many vamp/werewolf/witch movies have been made compared to movies that take place in the marvel/DC universe

Like if you have so much of a certain content, eventually all content that’s released passed a certain point will be so saturated and lead to a drop in ratings and views which means less money. I’ve noticed a ton of comic book related stuff come out in the past 5 years. So it seems like companies wanted to switch up the content they were pushing bc of the copious amount of supernatural stuff they’d already been making and bc they started to see that people weren’t that into it anymore. That’s really the only thing that makes sense.

I still love supernatural stuff, but I can definitely see how twilight and the walking dead have set a precedent for future supernatural movies and shows, and not in a good way ha It sucks but I’m glad supernatural stuff isn’t being pushed out as much. It was all becoming a little too similar.
