Sure, lets fly this helicopter without taking lessons first!

I'm fairly junior so most the work is still only scenic flights. I am lucky enough however to work for a company who has the government contract operating the shark patrol (I'm Australian) so that adds some exciting diversity. As for the financing, I suppose I was just dealt the right cards in life and my grandfather left an education bond on his passing. It's certainly a tough industry to persue a career in and while the highs are about as good as it gets, there is a lot of shit in between. Keeping it as a hobby will at least ensure the passion stays with you. I've never paraglided but I imagine the lack of engine (and noise) provides a pretty exciting alternative.
