Taking an extra semester for computer engineering

Currently in both of those classes. I too slacked off at the beginning of the semester.

I have to say, ENGG 1410 is the most disorganized class of all. The TA's have no contact with the prof. They have no clue what the prof is teaching us. I'm pretty sure that this is also the first time ENGG1410 is being offered, so we are the test dummies. The mini-project instructions make no sense either.

Also, Remember that the midterm exam for ENGG1410 WILL NOT count towards your final grade as long as you get better on the final exam. Making the final exam worth 55% of your grade.

CHEM 1040 is something else. I feel like department chairs all sat together in a circle and decided that CHEM 1040 would be the class used to weed out everyone. Content isn't very difficult, but the marking is extremely harsh and inconsiderate (clearly done on purpose). Labs that take 7 hours just get a 60%. 5 step calculations on the exam that are worth 1 mark... I could go on.

I did hear, however, that 50% of the final exam is orgo, so if you study that really hard, you might be good!

Just figured to say how I felt as I am in a similar situation to you.
