Targeted or not targeted that is the question

I go back and forth. To me, targeted definitely makes sense, but I have several questions that don’t make sense/or I haven’t seen answered. 1) Did Missy always enter the church prior to workouts, or did she only do this during cold weather/rainy days. If the latter, Texas weather is crazy. The news could say it’s 100% chance of rain and it’s sunny out, so if she only did this on bad weather days, then the perp would have made the decision to go there that day relatively spontaneously as the weather could change at any minute. If she always went in the church prior to workouts, then my question would be how much research they did on days/weeks/months leading up to this because the perp would have had to follow her or have inside information. Basically, my point is, how exactly did the perp know for sure that Missy would be in the Church, and also in the Church alone. 2) What is the motive? There has to be a motive if it was targeted. I don’t buy the theories based on revenge from an affair ect. They have looked into all of those people and they have been ruled out. Family was ruled out very quickly. The only motive I can think of is someone just being jealous of Missy in general and hating her so much (Missy may not have even know who they were) that they wanted her gone. Still, it just doesn’t make much sense to me that they would be in a church at 330am waiting for her when they couldn’t have known she would be alone. 3) The timeline of the murder/other people arriving at the scene is just too close. If this was targeted, that is seriously bold. To murder and flee the scene in less than 10-15 minutes? I know that seems like enough time, but not if you knew people were arriving at 4:30am, and if you didn’t know people were arriving that early, why would you think Missy would? Again, if it was targeted she had to have been stalked prior to this, or the killer was given information. All of that sounds far fetched. 4) If it was targeted, after 6 years why haven’t they caught the person?

Given that, it is equally as hard for me to comprehend that it could be random, however there are a lot of church burglaries (just google it), and there was one not very far from Midlothian just earlier this year. It could be very possible that the perp broke into the church, was roaming around and when Missy came in they just killed her. This has been shut down a lot, but to me it’s possible, especially if the perp was on drugs (likely) and they just reacted.

Final thoughts: I think it’s probable the Nissan was involved, and the perp was casing the gun store to rob. The entire outfit would make more sense robbing a gun store than a church as they could look like security. The gun store also had a lot more to steal than a church. For whatever reason, that plan was foiled. Whether it was the abundance of cameras, or cars in the parking lot, I don’t know. The perp decided to go with the next place they saw which happened to be the church. I think the perp wanders around for so long because they aren’t in high hopes because their original gun store plan failed. Missy comes in, the perp reacts, is high on drugs and is also psychologically unwell and kills her. The perp leaves and has never been caught because it was random.

Also- side note, the gait that’s so widely discussed is not that uncommon. If you start noticing people walking at your local grocery store, you’ll find at least 1 person a day with that same gait.
