Dude thanks for the lesson but I understand how things work. Obviously the failed chute slowed the descent. Im simply stating that the amount of drag produced from the twirling chute is incomprehensibly low in comparison to the gravitational pull on the human. He was regaining speed from the collision to the watery impact. Also, if anything you’re supporting my argument with that longer path of travel stuff. The difference in distance would also be incomprehensibly low and unimportant in the grand scheme of things, also if anything that would be more time/distance to gain speed. (Yes I understand you can comprehend it, just exaggerating to make a point)
