The people here are rude, joyless, over entitled world revolves around me backwoods jackasses. You will go broke living in a hotel looking for a reasonably priced place to live just check out Craigslist and see for yourself. You will be living out in the middle of nowhere out here and this is reflective in the piss poor us verses them (Oregon vs Everybody! Yes they actually take pride in pitting themselves against the rest of the world. The entire community is like that kid in school with special needs that everyone kinda avoided and felt sorry for.) The whole loving accepting 420 friendly vegan/vegetarian community that I was expecting when I moved here is the polar opposite. The outside world wants nothing to do with this place and therefore they want nothing to do with it.
As far as Reiki or any other type of martial art it is non existent out here feel free to google around and see for yourself. They are just too dumb and uncultured for things like that. As far as growing weed (THE ONLY good thing here) be ready to do it and learn it all on your own because noone gives a fuck about anyone other than themselves.
The only people who live here are from here because they are too dumb and downright unsavory to make it out in the real world. OP your enthusiasm and zest for life will be gone within 4-6 weeks after you get here. At some point you will be saying to yourself "WTF am I doing here? and WTF is wrong with these people?"
I am here for work and if I had to do it all over again I would live in Ashland or better yet avoid Oregon completely. Ann Curry is from Ashland and so is the Shakespeare Festival but as far as Medford nothing and I mean nothing of any type cultural significance has ever remotely been produced here.
They don't want outsiders here, they are pretty fucking disgusting. I can't wait to leave at the end of the year when I can get transferred to a decent city. If you happen to have ~$50,000 (CASH) then you will be able to find a place where you can live and grow pot happily, but if you don't you will go broke pulling your hair out wondering how these subhuman trolls live here and with themselves.
