Thoughts on Player Levels showing?

I really like your argument. I do think that games now a days are too "soft" and do not provide the realistic statistics of a player to spare their feelings. Especially with blizzard games.

I know many players including myself(and by the way you framed this I would believe you too?) enjoy vsing much higher skilled players because it really does only makes you better.

I guess I am just worried that the playerbase won't grow as much as it could with the non/semi competitive players. Though I do love discussion with hardcore players/friends on strategy/logistics of the game - I really just want to see this game grow as much as possible regardless of what kinds of players are attracted to it. I don't want it to be only a small amount of hardcore players only. Just because the game is so fun in my opinion, and could be enjoyed by many. But I guess I don't want people's feelings hurt(I feel like blizzard saying this) so I just think it might be better to display the levels afterwards so there is no possible bias in decision making during the game - just raw decision making. Regardless of whatever thoughts come afterwards that will be dependent on the person.

Replays would definitely help improve. I know for many players they can usually pinpoint what their mistake was during the match - being able to revisit the mistake will definitely help for future scenarios.
