OP here, thanks for your insightful comments. Appreciate the nuance regarding Jung & the propensity for his frameworks to be utilized & adapted by conservatives. I ironically found my “leftist therapist” using a thread posted here on this sub. I believe it was the thread called something along the lines of “how to find a leftists therapist” or something like that, lol. My therapist is wonderful, and while she uses a largely jungian framework, she is nuanced about it. She is actually Jewish, so I’m sure she’s aware of Jung’s background but still chooses to use some Jr his concepts. Nuance and discernment so important these days & always.
