Thread: Simple Questions

The two moisturizers are specifically for dry skin

The clinique yes, the other no. But the moisturizers being for dry skin has nothing to do with whether they are moisturizing YOUR skin or not. I have really dry skin and using one thick cream doesn't solve any of my problems. I use layers of lightweight, then a heavier cream to seal it all in. Theres also a difference between moisturizing and hydrating. Idk why youre arguing with me while your whole routine is lush products that are just fragranced with no actual ingredients to help you other than water and glycerine.

I have very acne prone skin as well. Dry and acne prone and oils break me out. I can't use any glycolic acid (breaks me out). The only thing that's worked even remotely for any acne for me is, tea tree oil or sulfur.

Also, since my skin breaks out easily, I only use the exfoliating serum when I start having problems with flakes and CC to not put too high a burden on my skin.

You can find mild exfoliants that don't hurt your skin. Youre not the only person in the world with acne prone sensitive skin. There are products that are formulated for this particular reason. It's all about trial and error. My choice of exfoliant is 2% SA every 2 days and 10% mandelic acid every 3 days. It doesn't matter if i have pimples or CCs or or not, i will use this to prevent it from coming and keep my skin clean and exfoliated so products/makeup look better.

Honestly, I am not trying to be obtuse/rude, I'm just confused

Your confusion is based on you not knowing what is going on with your skin. You say you have streaky foundation but you don't even use a brush to apply it so you can't have streaks bc there are no brushes to leave streak marks. You say you exfoliate your skin but you aren't using any exfoliating products.

And i just looked up the lush movis and it uses baking soda and other crap thats not actually good for your skin. It's also a manual exfoliator which you use daily. Yeah, your skin def needs more hydration and moisture. Try using a humectant to plump your skin and a moisturizer that doesn't have fragrance.

Visit r/skincareaddiction and try not to argue with people since you are confused. I'm giving you information not to argue with you.

Also the pictures? do you have foundation on? i don't see the streaks? I can't really see anything wrong with your skin?
