The Timeline

• The Last

• a while later...sasuke returns (should be soon after the Last, I imagine sasuke needs time to love anybody...)

• Sasuke marries and bangs sakura in whatever order (since sarada is the same age as boruto they must have tossed the salad around the time naruto and hinata screwed, reasonably soon after their marriage)

• a while later...sasuke leaves again (judging from the lack of sasuke family pictures he must’ve left pretty quickly) to investigate kaguya, sarada is very young (from known information she could be anywhere from in the womb to somewhere around age of 3-4 when children start developing solid memories, but from that lack of pictures it can reasonably be said that he had left very early and not when she was 3-4)

• The Last: post-credit scene, Sarada is a toddler like boruto, Naruto is not hokage yet (no face on mountain)

• Naruto becomes hokage

• At least a few months later (based on Boruto acting out bc his father isn’t spending time with him)...Chapter 700, boruto and sarada have abandonment issues, first Kage meeting is held (or at least this Kage meeting must be before the kage meeting in the flashback because Kakashi is not accompanying him in the flashback, and Kakashi and Gai’s conversation hints towards this being one of his first if he needed to be accompanied by Kakashi.)

• Sasuke discovers startling information about a huge threat, and returns in secret with a snazzy vest (can’t visit sarada at this point because he needs as few people knowing his whereabouts and actions as possible

• soon after...emergency Kage meeting with Sasuke, joined by Sakura who I assume is there because she wanted to see him (Note: if assumption made about the Last is true, it is impossible for her to be pregnant here as people suggest, naruto's kids were already toddlers before naruto became hokage as evident in that the Last post-credit. Because of placing this chapter after 700 based on Gai and Kakashi's conversation pointing towards the kage meeting in 700 to being naruto's first, it would also be impossible bc sarada is already in the academy in 700.). Sasuke immediately leaves again.

• a few years later...Naruto Gaiden: revealed that Sarada has no memory of her father. Sasuke only remembers her name and existence, but does not recognize her face. It is reasonable to think that they have not met for many years.

Explanations needed from Kishi:

• what was sasuke doing after he left in 699 to redeem himself, exactly? What urged him to return to the village and bang sakura?

• What urged Sasuke to leave again after he had felt safe enough to have settled down for some time and make sarada?

• He said he’d been bothered by Kaguya and the white Zetsu army. Which period of time did he spend on investigating this, and why did it take so long to uncover the threat?
