Never liked them, but at the pub I went to to watch the 2012 ucl final, there was a section of spuds fans. That season they finished 4th in the epl and Chelsea finished outside of the top 4. Cl championship for Chelsea meant spuds would drop out of ucl and get relegated to Europa lg. and Chelsea would take their spot. As the match progressed, they got more and more confident/vocal. When Drogba’s head met Maya’s cross to equalize and force penalties, they got reeeaaalll quite haha. As soon as King Drogba slotted his penalty into the back of Nuer’s goal, I immediately stood on my table and started just yelling “Europa, Europa, Europa!!” at them and then we got in a skirmish. Picked up a decent shiner, but not before I choked out the one that instigated the physical confrontation. After we got separated, I tried to shake one of their hands as a nod to a decent scrap and he was a bitch about it, so we fought again lol. It was typically a Chelsea pub (owner of the pub was a Blue), so he finally called the fuzz and they got arrested. Never liked ‘em, but I’ve had a blood feud w/ them after that day haha. (This happened in Austin, TX)
