This trial has really driven home the fact anyone can make it big as long as you are connected

I wasn't really directing it to anyone in specific, just an observation/shower thought I've had from watching the trial. I think I was expecting witnesses to present hard facts, based on peer-reviewed scientific methods, or truly unbiased observations.

What I'm seeing is alleged experts providing professional opinions or diagnoses based on a review of movies the person starred in or saying anything but a bottle can crush a finger a particular way without ever meeting the person and treating the wound. I don't even know where to classify the hashtag expert, did they trend the data against the seasonal migration of birds and look for patterns?

$60,000 USD to try and correlate headlines to future earnings on movies that may never be made? This isn't the federal reserve where they are borrowing against the future income of our grandchildren to hold up the economy.

I guess I just expected more from people who are making more per hour than I make a day.
