NBC is so out of touch with reality.

What if one friend's plan change

You write it into the contract.

I've been trying to buy a home cash for the last year and a half (was rich, am now poor. Day trader....)

When I'm rich I want to share my wealth and can't just hand it out because taxes. So I've gone to a lawyer to actually look into this.

Essentially they're responsible for X amount of property taxes, upkeep, etc (all contractually agreed) no matter what, and if they don't pay them, their ownership of the house reverts to the collective and is split.

Usually there's a buyout clause, but it will be over a period of time, based on the date at which you choose to sell your share.

It's essentially the same as owning a business....

Because our world has deemed property ownership a business at this point anyways...

Just think of all the times where you're told "you're better off renting!!!"

No, no you aren't.

You're better off building equity once you reach a certain age instead of pissing money away.
