What do freeze types need to know in order to heal, that is different from normal CPTSD?

Hmmm so reading an intro of a book on childhood neglect, it looks like hypoarousal and the freeze reaction is more associated with neglect. I’m just starting this book and the author is relying where she was focused on things like sexual abuse and then started helping clients who came from backgrounds of childhood neglect (these were usually men married to women who had been sexually abused. These men lacked the ability to help provide emotional support to their wives. Most of them came from backgrounds of neglect).

There seems to be fewer resources on neglect. I’ve read books like Running on Empty and Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents. They seem to be better at describing the problem than healing from it. I am thinking what I am looking for is almost some sort of parent guide that helps train how to help children with things like emotional soothing that can be applied as an adult.

The neglect and the lack of care sting worse than the physical and other types of trauma for me. And they are also the hardest to articulate.
