Uncharted film not necessary.

Your distinctions don't really make sense. The Godfather is an original. Just because it's an adaptation doesn't mean it isn't an original piece of work. For whatever it's worth, nobody starts talking about the books when talking about godfather and Jurassic park. Both of those films by the way deviated heavily from the books. I know because I have read them. Other than the titles the movies don't share much in common with the novels. Aside from that comparison, those weren't video games being adapted to films. They were books. Two totally different mediums. The difference between a film adaptation of a book and one of a video game is vast.

If you feel that some of the words sound snobby or elitist then too bad. If your not understanding what I mean when I say "true fan" then you are just being willfully ignorant and wanting to argue. You know what I'm saying when I use those words. A fan that really cares, really loves and really appreciates something. There may be a very tiny percentage of fans that don't mind a movie but the majority of the "die hard" fans don't want it. I hope you don't have a problem with the term "die hard" also. There are lots of synonyms out there. You going to argue with all of them just because you feel I've challenged your "fan hood" and odds are, I probably do care for this series more than you considering my passion for maintaining its image. Not being elitist or snobby. Just a "die hard, truly passionate fan".

And false equivalency? You really didn't understand what I was saying? The Godfather film is a masterpiece. To remake it, like lots of films are, would be so insulting as would a film adaptation of uncharted in my eyes. My comparison is that of two pieces of work I find to be masterpieces. I find it hard to believe you really didn't understand my message. But like I said before, you just wanted to argue with someone else's opinion which is ridiculous in and of itself.
