Who do you think is more ‘credited’ with creating Lost?

People who know nothing to very little about Lost say it’s a JJ Abrams

Because he helped create the core concept and plot of the show as well as directed a pilot to get the show ordered to series.

Abrams is one creator of the show. He just simply wasn't a showrunner or lead writer.

Saying it's an Abrams show really isn't wrong.

Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are responsible for what Lost became.

But...that's not what "creation" is in terms of TV production.

They're lead writers, yes, and sculpted the shows style, themes, etc.

That's still not equal to "creation."

Cuse is not a creator. He wasn't there for the initial concept determination or pitching. Lindelof and Abrams (and Leiber) were. Those three came up with the show's core and logline essentially.

It's like how people say Twin Peaks is a David Lynch show despite Lynch barely writing any episodes and only directing a few.

It's consodered a "Lynch show" because he and Frost determined the concept of the show together.
