UNLV or WesternU

That’s true. The population around here is in desperate need of dental care and a lot of them can’t afford it so they go to the school.

The first few semesters are really hard at UNLV. They front load with didactic courses so you don’t have to deal with them much later. My first semester I had 29 credits and next I have 31 if I counted correctly. My brother is at Utah and they had 22 this semester so I think UNLV has a pretty tough start. But I prefer it that way because upper class men say that the last two or so years are basically just clinic work but my brother said his 3rd years still have several hours of didactic courses.

They’ve been really good about making changes though to make things more digestible. For example, they split one of our 10 credit classes into 6 and 4 credit classes in two semesters. So if you do poorly in one at least it’s not a bad grade on a 10 credit class. They’ve made test changes so instead of only two tests you’ll get 3 tests a semester. You’ll be more busy overall, but if you screw up one test it’s not as big of a deal because there’s 2 more. They are honestly really good about listening to student feedback. So it’s tough, but they are doing what they can to make it more manageable overall
