It’s a broken & corrupt system. It’s not Stockholm Syndrome because most of us are fully aware that we’re being screwed. Politicians are in the healthcare industry’s pocket. Lack of affordable coverage ruins lives. Medical debt ruins lives. Unaffordable cost of medicines ruins lives. There’s just nothing we can do about it except vote for politicians who will fight the system, which are few and far between. Those minority politicians are labeled as socialists, which is a very dirty word in America. Universal Healthcare has been my #1 voting issue for the past 25 years and the only thing that has changed is the ACA, which as you can see from the above thread, has its issues. It’s truly tragic. So much needless suffering.
