Yeah this common, but it's a bottle wine. In college, a guy called me saying he was trouble meet him at a restaurant. I guy down, and he demands that I let him borrow my credit card. His date order a super expensive bottle of wine. I laughed. I don't have credit card card, and I wouldn't give to him if I did. My friend left to the bathroom. The waiter said, " We wouldn't give a kid, an a bottle we know they can't afford. " another waiter told his date, they called the police, because not paying for what you ordered is theft. They told her, they would let her go, but she had run for it. They also told the bottle was worth thousands. " She scooted out the door. I would say it was fun watching the guy I knew panic, but wasn't. They made him wash dishes, and helped. We washed until closing, and told him, that wine was just stuff we had left over from a bunch of different tables. It was trash, and you couldn't tell the difference. Restaurants are just a place to take rich people's money. Don't be fool. "
