I live in NYC. The only other places I have lived or worked is Paris, Tokyo, SF, and Hong Kong.

I'm 32 and I have only seen a real night sky ONCE in my life.

It was when I was in 7th grade and I went on a camping trip to the literal middle of nowhere (2 hour drive to any sort of town). I was AMAZED... I had no idea that's what the sky looked like... you could see the milky way and the sky covered in stars.

Don't get me wrong. I've gone camping at least 10-20 times since... but it's always either cloudy or still not far enough from the city.

I wanna see it again but it's too much of a hassle to drive that far and pick a night with clear skiew
