It's sad, I don't enjoy destroying them so much as I enjoy a fruitful conversation between myself and people of different opinions when we find common ground. That kind of thing makes my day.
Destroying leftist ideologues is just a necessity like taking out the trash. Distasteful, but necessary.
When arguing with someone who is entirely dishonest in their intent:
Don't defend against their points, argue yours.
When they inevitably try to dodge, deflect or project, don't get turned around. Nail them on a point and don't let them drop it until you get a solid response.
Don't get tricked into their word-games where they redefine language (essentially, the "rules" of the argument) to suit them.
Use brief, simplistic responses. The more you give them, the more they have to search through and find a hair to split. Finding a simple contradiction you know they can't suitably answer and pointing it out in a sentence or less is often a knockout punch that will leave them gobsmacked and scrambling for a way to deflect.
Know your subject. Don't stray into unfamiliar territory, they will speak with complete conviction on things they know nothing about, if you admit even a hint of doubt (because you're being honest) they'll proclaim victory.
Point out when they're deflecting, projecting, dodging or redirecting and again, nail them to the points and don't let them wriggle out of it.
