What make 90s Supermodels so unique looking ?

I think, going beyond their appearance, the 90s were overall a different time. Models, especially high fashion ones, were extremely influential - shows, interviews, etc. They had an air of importance around them compared today. It’s also wear so many iconic brands boomed, which helped these faces become so important and alluring - e.g., faces of Versace, Chanel, Dior. These girls really worked for their fame, and now the industry is filled with nepotism babies. Which, frankly, I dislike. They’re overall not really model worthy if it wasn’t for their parents. I think Bella Hadid improved a ton, but she’s still not my favourite. In addition, the modelling industry is changing. Talks of body positive (which I do support) are a lot more prominent, people want those with “normal” bodies meaning it’s less exclusive. So models don’t feel so unattainable, therefore, less alluring. Although, I do love the diversity (100% needed for skin colour and race), that’s extremely important.

Also, a lot of these models didn’t have such drastic plastic surgeon in their prime. They looked like Barbie dolls. They looked more natural. Models, like Bella Hadid, pretty much change their whole face. So it’s just uninteresting and inauthentic to like.
