$20,900 DPW Trash Can Prototype Broken Already

I have seen & know whats involved with many projects. This city is under constant construction, so I don't see a problem with a simple project like this. Also when there are time constraints to install something, it's has to either do with materials staging, & schedules, never installation. It's not like the Bay bridge rebuild, that was done by a Chinese contractor completed ahead of schedule. Have you ever seen what was involved with that?

Regardless there will always be poor planning issues that's why things get negotiated down to a flap door trashcan held to the ground with bolts, the DPW planning committee goes with it & end up paying the same price likely more than they tried to reduce due to a cost overrun or other schedule slippage. It's not installing a bullet train network, it's trash cans.
