It’s not offensive. There are just a lot of fifteen year old boys with fragile, delicate masculinity who get off on pretending they’re straight in this fandom. :)

Sasuke isn’t straight. Whatever that means to you. I don’t think he’s a label kind of person, but he’s never shown enough interest in women and far too much in Naruto to be straight.

Neither is Sakura. She definitely had a crush on Ino growing up. Pretty sure that went both ways lmao. In AU’s I like to pretend Ino chose Sasuke as the guy she was gonna have a crush on lol. Naruto is pan. He doesn’t give a fuck as long as he likes you. He doesn’t understand that you can pick all sides though. Sakura has to explain it to him when they’re seventeen. Sai is ace and nonbinary. They will have sex to please their romantic partner, but it’s never been appealing to them.

Gai is aroace and Kakashi is aromantic but not ace. Ik KakaGai is literally canon but it’s hard to see Kakashi in a not purely-sexual relationship, and Gai just...nah.

Shikamaru is straight, but tried to date Choji at some point. Only them and Ino knew and none of them ever speak about it sober. Choji is bi with a preference to women. He doesn’t talk about the guy crushes he has.

Hinata is the token straight who loves everyone. Kiba is the kind of homophobic guy who doesn’t mean to be homophobic, he just asks really degrading questions sometimes: “man, that’s kinda gay” or “so, people can like both?”. Shino is aroace as well.

Neji’s bi. He’s mainly into Tenten but had a huge crush on Naruto right after the chunin exams. Tenten and Lee are straight, he’s ace too. They all cross-dress.

Temari’s queer. She knows that she has some attraction to girls, but has never given it too much thought. Kankuro’s...confused but likes guys for sure. Gaara’s only ever been attracted to Naruto.
