In fairness, a plurality of Americans believe there's life elsewhere in the universe.

But even if the US gv't comes out tomorrow and says yes, we have a spaceship and we're studying it, that doesn't mean every last idea that's been put out there in the last 50 years... reptilians, shape-shifters, abductions... is legit.

There is a spectrum of people ranging from those who want this very legitimate range of knowledge explored with the scientific method, to people who think these are daemons sent by satan to begin the great culling of the new world order. The UFO community is the least unified group I can think of, we agree on almost nothing, but sometimes the people who get labelled as 'loons' are just... loons.

When the science is out and this disclosure is complete, that's all we'll need. It doesn't matter who believes or not.
