What does Battletech need to be viewed as a major video game title?

It's a valid criticism. Whenever I'm restarting a character having to switch to male repeatedly while save scumming to get a better launch planet is beyond annoying.

If HBS didn't want to put identity politics in their game, they would've gotten better reviews. And then the other issue is they should've let players set their default to be male or female to bypass the silliness of it in the first place.

When you look at the attempt of 3D characters for the cutscenes, the hammy dialogue and the inability to quickly remove their poor writing, again it reflects poorly on the game. Having characters that generally looked bad, we'd got Darious AKA Eddy Murphy on a diet and two slobs for engineering. no thank you. People play games to see ideals.

If HBS wanted a better rating, they should've gave people the ability to cut out their writing and 3D character design and just have it be on the game itself not their identity politics.
