What happened to all the Richt-Kirby record comparisons?

Kirby deserves all the praise he's getting, and I sincerely hope he puts another trophy or two in the case there in Athens before he decides he wants to go to the NFL. He's an incredible recruiter and the product on the field reflects that.

Mark Richt is an amazing human, in the slander some UGA fans have felt comfortable throwing his way over the years has been incredibly off-putting.

And I think one thing that plagues comparisons between the two are the eras in which they coached. That 2002 UGA team arguably should have gone to the BCS Championship game instead of Miami, and would have definitely been in the playoffs if we had this system then.

Also, the Dawgs were an Aaron Murray too low pass away from beating Alabama and annihilating Notre Dame in 2012. Also in 2007, UGA lost the chance to play in the title game due to tying with Tennessee for the Eastern division championship. Who knows what would have happened had things gone a slightly different way with that Kentucky-Tennessee overtime game?

Point is, Richt did an amazing job at everything but having the chips fall in his favor and giving him an opportunity to win a title. Kirby got them over the hump and deserves every accolade.

But this "where's the Right truthers" is beneath the level of respect that man should still be afforded among this fanbase.
