What kind of pants does everyone wear

Nylon pants are ridiculously durable. Good quality ones will essentially last you literally forever.

I wear Duluth trading company “Dry on the fly” nylon blend pants. I’ve been wearing the same 5 or so pairs daily for approximately a decade. They have some stains from paint and caulking from a prior roofing job, but no holes whatsoever despite a wide variety of construction roles. They are almost literally invincible. They aren’t “comfortable”, but they also aren’t “uncomfortable “. I find personally find them about as comfortable as blue jeans. They aren’t as soft as cotton, but they also don’t hold on to your sweat and other moisture, bogging you down throughout the day like blue jeans often do.

I’ve also tried the “firehose” pants from the same brand, but I found these to be essentially a gimmick. They are incredibly heavy and not particularly durable, lasting me about as long as a regular pair of cheap jeans. Can’t recommend those at all.
