I prefer ATS and I only play at ATS despite the fact that I played ETS couple years ago. I'm from Europe but I love the design of the american trucks, the flat noses from Europe are kind of boring especially because I saw them everyday on the road. The long straight roads of America, the desertic landscapes around you and the right to turn to the right at red lights, it's wonderful. I love the multiple trailers missions, at the time I played at ETS there isn't that feature in the game so it was very refreshing for me, at this time in ETS you couldn't buy trailer either and the gameplay was in facts very different.

I love this type of game, the simulaton behind all of that is quite relaxing, driving IRL hours to gain money and experience and to become more and more powerful in the drivers universe. I don't have a lot of hours on ATS at this time but it might change in the future. Who knows?
