What to play when you're depressed?

YMMV as this is counterintuitive, but I like to play The Long Dark on survival sandbox mode when I'm feeling down. It's a winter survival game set in the quiet apocalypse of a deserted island with a small town and rural homesteads and a lot of wilderness in between.

Most games don't really force you to keep moving unless you feel like progressing, so if I'm feeling tired and depressed, I just kind of stare at the screen feeling like why bother if nothing is stopping me from just sitting there.

With TLD, I have no choice but to keep moving and maintaining things or I'll die. Also, permadeath makes threats a bit more intimidating than in a game where you can just reload and try again in 10 seconds. The admittedly depressing scenario doesn't make me feel put off by contrasting my mood, so I have an easier time picking it up.

But again, YMMV. Not everyone likes this type of game, and I'm well aware that I might just be weird about this.
