What is the story of how you discovered and got into Falcom games (i.e. the Trails series)?

I saw it on Steam, talked to a friend about it who said it was pretty good. But i passed as i was playing Witcher 3 at the time and it looked meh (don't judge a book by its cover kids) like an rpgmaker product especially the combat. Saw it again when SC came out and gave it a try stumbled on the greatest rpg series since Suikoden.

Its basically the perfect RPG for someone like me, when people state FC starting slow as a negative with far too much dialogue thats what made me fall in love with it. I quit ni no kuni 2 within the first 5 minutes when it had you in combat saving the world as soon as you booted it up. Thats shit, its boring these games take their time building that world out and making you care. God the NPC's might be my favourite "Feature" in any game. Just spending 2 hours talking to them in Ao after each story beat was a pleasure especially when they mix side quests in as you go which intertwines with the stories about them.
