I don’t have a Facebook account, and my husband only kept his so we can make sure nobody is posting without our permission. My parents and my husband’s mom are great, and totally understand our desire to maintain privacy. We haven’t told his dad and step mom because we don’t trust them to keep anything to themselves. It’s going to be a long fight of keeping pictures of me/my child off the internet. They overshare constantly, and often things that aren’t about them (my wedding shower, after I asked not to; an awful cell phone pic from the wedding, without asking, before we got professional pictures back) so I don’t think they’ll be very understanding of a media blackout regarding our child.
