What is your hygeine/body care routine?

I have a rigorous routine but it doesn't involve lots of expensive products, so here we go!

About Me, The Good, The Bad, And The Annoying: 1. I have lots of body hair, so I do lots of hair removal grooming. 2. I have dry skin on my face, never get breakouts, so I do lots of intensive moisturizing. My body skin is pretty evenly balanced so I don't have to do much. 3. I have a great natural hair texture and very thick hair, so my products are minimal but very heavy and creamy. If you have thin or straight fine hair my routine probably won't apply to you.

Body Care: 1. Shower daily. Duh. 2. Exfoliate body once a week, usually on the weekend. I use an olive oil and brown sugar scrub. On my exfoliation day I also do moisturizer on my whole body. I like pure argan oil. After moisturizing I throw on my silk robe and wear it around the house until everything is absorbed. 3. Shave everything every three days in the winter, or every day in the summer. If I have lots of time I exfoliate my legs first. 4. Paint and shape toenails once a week. Shape nails once a week. I don't paint my nails on a specific schedule, I usually just slap on a varnish right before going out, but keeping my nails groomed makes it easy to do that. Highly recommend! 5. Once a week I try to do a long relaxing bath. I soak in epsom salts, green tea (literally, green tea bags), and just hang out.

Hair Care: 1. Wash every three days unless I'm working out like crazy. Air dry. I use shampoo, conditioner, and then a leave in conditioner, and that's it. 2. I usually wear my hair down two days in a row and then up on the third day. My advice is to nail at least 3 updo looks that you can do in 15 minutes.

DAILY Skin Care: 1. Exfoliate with brown sugar scrub. 2. Then, raw honey mask for 20 minutes. Wipe off. 3. Then one layer of argan oil. 4. Then one layer of moisturizing sunscreen (I use josie maran). 5. Then one layer of moisturizing primer. (laura mercier) 6. Then one layer of tinted moisturizer with spf. (laura mercier). This is the extent of my face makeup unless I want to go further in which case I use color corrector (bobbi brown) before the tinted moisturizer, and maybe even some foundation right after. I don't do this daily as I'm convinced that wearing too much on your skin causes premature aging. Usually just tinted moisturizer is good enough for me. 7. After that I pluck any stray eyebrow hairs. I have a good natural shape so I don't have to do much. 8. Next I do minimal eyeliner and a little mascara and lipgloss. That's it!

At Night For Face: 1. I remove all makeup with olive oil and a disposable cotton pad. 2. If skin seems ok I just splash with ice cold water for about 30 seconds. If skin is super dry (like after a day at the beach or a party night drinking) then I layer on argan oil before sleeping.
