Whistleblowers fear prosecution under new European Trade Secrets law

Weak speculation. Based on the amount of trade between the UK and the rest of the EU, especially the massive trade deficit (British exports to the EU were at their lowest in January since 2009), it is in our common interest to have a good trade deal. Implying that a sovereign country with an economy based on goods and services, a strong currency and a leading financial hub would collapse without the EU is moronic. And arguing that Germany, France, and all the other massive exporters to the UK wouldn't agree to a free trade deal is laughable. I'm sure they wouldn't want a massive consumer of electronics, home elctricals and vehicles like Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Cirtoen etc missing out.

Holding some sort of punitive sanctions against a sovereign nation that expresses the desire to leave the EU perhaps does more to strengthen the argument that the EU isn't worth being a part of.

And nice one bringing up the subsidies.. I'm sure with the billions we would actually save every year from our membership fee, we could (and even the tories admit we would) continue subsidies for the foreseeable future, and we'd even have a nice chunk of our money left over to spend on things other than European vanity projects :) Have you seen the UK net contributions to the EU?

And while we're on the subject of collapsing economies, how are Portugal, Spain, Greece, Italy and even France doing these days? How is the Euro project working out for you guys? How is the massive youth unemployment and raiding of pensions in the south of Europe going?

When was Jean-Claude Juncker, Donald Tusk or Martin Schulz last on your ballot paper? Never? Sounds super democratic to me!

I wish you luck too. Even if the UK does vote to stay, the vote will be close, and things will never be the same again. We will all need all the luck we can get as part of this antidemocratic shit show. Things are going to get interesting for all of us.
