Who is getting excited for the season?

I think you're trying to pigeon hole me as a nostalgist. This isn't the case.

First if you're ticket price stayed the same for the season, you are now paying MORE for every other attraction you visit.

Second Covid seems to be on everyone's mind. Instead of being in line at those 4 rides, guess where those guests are? They are now in line with you at whatever attraction or food stall you're visiting. Instead of spreading people out and allowing breathing room, you are concentrating visitors into less areas.

Third we knew Fred was the last of the skilled fabricators, and its been that way for years. But why? It's probably due to salary. If you need some comparison just look in any of the server subreddits. People don't want to work for crap pay these days and every restaurant has a now hiring sign. Kennywood is no different with their new corporate penny pinchers paying minimum salaries for skill based positions. You get what you pay for.

I'm really indifferent to kennywoods drawn out implosion. Pittsburghers like tradition and nostalgia, and premier is giving them corporate sponsorships, naming rights, and most of all removal of some of their most iconic and nostalgic rides. Turnpike, log jammer, kangaroo.... all because they can't keep up with maintenance. I mean they burnt down their brand new coaster and closed it for 2 seasons because their electricians mis wired it.
