Wifeys, I'm angry. (tw: csa and angy words))

I struggle with some of the same issues as you for the same reason.

I don't know if your question was rhetorical, but I do think Trisha is genuinely mentally ill. My sister is a lot like her, to the point where it can be uncomfortable to watch her videos. My sister has BPD and she pretty much accuses everybody of being an abuser. I can't speak for Trisha, but it seems my sister genuinely believes her lies. Over the years, she has gone into graphic detail unprovoked (like trauma dumping, I guess?) about her "abuse" and when I began noticing very obvious inconsistencies or straight up different stories, she told me I was mistaken and remembering wrong.

I don't know what video it is, but someone makes fun of Trisha saying she was bullied, and she went on a tirade about how her band has "2005" in it because of her trauma... That is how my sister behaves, like its a "gotcha." You could tell these people your legs were just ripped off and their immediate reaction is like "well I was r*ped, so walk it off."

Unfortunately, I have had to cut contact because of the stress but I do feel bad for her sometimes when I don't feel disgust and contempt. I know deep down she is in pain, but I can't be around it. But yeah, I think Trisha could be like that?

My comment isn't to suggest you should feel bad for someone that lies about your lived experiences, it's just to offer a perspective from someone who has dealt with a Trisha type irl.
