Yellowjackets & Lord of the Flies lesson plan?

I really think there is really something that could be done based on comparing a cast of different genders (for the most part) in a similar situation, or something to be found in how the authors own genders and generation dictates how they imagine these scenarios would go. But any kind of assignment I thought of seemed somehow too simple, or something that deserves way more than one class. There is also the show The Wilds, which has an entirely female group of survivors that faces some of this more explicitly (spoilers for The Wilds ahead) >! In The Wilds, the whole thing turns out to be a social experiment, where a female professor has gotten funding to prove that women are inherently better at cooperating and creating societies. She has botched the experiment by setting the girls up to succeed, but has created another test of all boys, who she wants to fail. !<
