It already feels like it's crumbling. The desktop and and android versions are running slowly - even though I'm seeing less tweets cos almost everyone I follow has left in the last few weeks. I'm getting multiple scam DMs and @'s a day now whereas they were an occasional thing until a few weeks ago.

Most of the news accounts I follow -like bbc etc - are still tweeting but the comments on their tweets are no longer people commenting on the news story or discussing it - it's all bots posting scam links.

There doesn't seem to be any moderation anymore either so I've watched these virulent, violent hate comments just start popping up on my feed unexpectedly. I've gotten my share of hate over the years online but I've never seen the variety and volume of hatred I've seen lately - it's everywhere all of a sudden. It's another thing that's unexpectedly popping up in the replies to just normal news stories. I don't know if it's people who have realised they can say ANYTHING now and are just going for it or if it's bots trying for engagement. Anyway I saw an article saying that the increased hate messages are one of the big reasons advertisers have been pulling out of twitter.

Trending topics seems to be broken too - it seems to think I live in a different country every few days and is no longer tailored to my relevant topics. Analytics has only been working on and off. I've heard that translation features are starting to break down too. And I saw a forbes story about the copyright takedown system being down now too?
